quadra660av
Hi there, I wonder if anyone can help. I have a base map which consist of lines / polylines / polygons which I would like to fill each of them as individual polygon. Previously I can select multiple lines and use the Combine into Surface tool, but the latest version seems to deselect all the lines once the operation is completed. It is a pain to select a bunch of lines, do the 'CiS' command, fill one polygon and repeat for hundreds of times. Anyone know if there is an easy way to do this? Enclosed a screenshot for your reference. Thank you in advnace. Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Use the paint bucket mode of the Polygon tool. It will create a new polygon filling the area of connected lines. Use a separate Class for the new polygons so you can then use the Class View options to select and delete the source lines. 1 Quote Link to comment

I agree with this suggestion. 13 hours ago, quadra660av said: It is a pain to select a bunch of lines, do the 'CiS' command, fill one polygon and repeat for hundreds of times. AlanW
Use Select Similar Tool (Wand) set to poly and hit one then all are selected. then fill. Select all lines same way then compose and then fill. HTH Quote Link to comment
quadra660av
Thank you all. The polygon paint bucket tool does the trick! as i can isolate the original lines into two classes, so much easier to create polygons now. Quote Link to comment
