aa.schump
As I attempt to move from a 2-D workflow to a 3-D workflow I seem to be having trouble with the initial file setup. I think I have a fair grasp on the concept of stories and the Digital Terrain model, but I can seem to get them to work together. In this trial, I have a simple terrain model sloping from 1' to 10' with a pad with retaining edge site modifier for a structure set at 1'. Floor one of the structure is also set to 1' but the walls are way below the pad. I'm sure I have left a box unchecked somewhere but I can't figure it out. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
If the Site Model and the Walls are in different Design Layers (as they should be) check the Elevation (Z) of the Layer in which the Walls reside... For this (your) example, try setting the Z of both Layer to the same elevation; or if there is a compelling reason to leave the Layers at different elev's, do the math and adjust the Walls accordingly. aa.schump
Thanks, Peter. The site model design layer was set to 20'-0". Once I reset that to 0, everything snapped into place! Quote Link to comment
