Clounsbery
I am trying to make an interior Storefront schedule and I can't get the cell scripting down? I need Mark, Height, Length and some linked details. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
It will depend a little on what version ('17 or '18) you have and what kind of objects you want do schedule. In general: Go to Tools > Reports > Create Report > Set the criteria (usually it will have a record format attached if you are looking for things like doors and windows and then pick the fields you want to be in the schedule. Clounsbery
I'm currently using "VW17" and the object is a curtain wall. yes, I did all that and got the walls ( Curtain wall) to show up, but the cells are not working correctly. I used the Worksheet Function to modify the "Database header cell" for thing like "Mark, Height, and wall thickness els........The whole worksheet (schedules) should use its base language for operations and needs to be reworked to be easier to use in general. michaelk
The worksheet learning curve is steep, but really worth the effort. If you can post a file with just one or two walls and a worksheet, I'm sure I or someone else will be able to show you how to get what you want. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Unfortunately (in VW2018, maybe 2017) Walls are no longer PlugIn Objects, so the data on them can only be accessed through the provided functions in the Worksheet. More access may be available via worksheet scripting. Quote Link to comment
