Hello Erik: The softgoods tool is relatively straight forward, in that in it's essence one clicks the 'softgoods' tool, then draws a poly line to denote the direction and length of the goods, then double click to accept those basic parameters and proceed to edit the goods further in the OIP. If you can explain in some detail what you're trying to accomplish beyond that, I'm sure you'll find much assistance here. Edited October 31, 2017 by mjm Quote Link to comment

Andy Broomell
What issues are you having, specifically? If you let us know what you've tried doing and what isn't yet working we can help you more in depth. Is it related to adding a texture to the 3D curtain, perhaps? Quote Link to comment
ERik Smith
I'm trying to add a black curtain to the orthoganal view.... if that's even possible. Quote Link to comment
ERik Smith
I've tried to do what is says...but I'm relatively new to the whole drawing process.....I'm an old touring Rigger trying to learn a new trick!! Quote Link to comment
RickR
Drawing in 3D views can be very tricky, that's partly why VW is so good. You can draw in 2D and get all the 3D stuff as well. Switch to 'Top/Plan' view, draw your curtain (double click to end the polyline), go back to orthogonal. From there you can select the curtain and change all the other settings so it does what you need. Also get into some of the basic training stuff. Videos and step by step tutorials will get you going ASAP. Quote Link to comment

How do I tell it to fill in the image?? Thanks for the help smart peeps!!! Quote Link to comment
Andy Broomell
Perhaps you're talking about render modes? You're probably in wireframe, where everything appears see-through. Try switching to OpenGL for a good render mode for working in 3D. Look for the teapot in the upper righthand toolbar, or go to View<Rendering<OpenGL. Quote Link to comment

Andy Broomell
Also @ERik Smith- you may find this post helpful as you're starting in 3D: https://forum.vectorworks.net/index.php?/topic/51125-help-with-info-centre/#comment-256547 Quote Link to comment
