Is the only function of the Image resource to provide an Image fill to an object/texture? I've just completed a project that had a lot of mouldings and research photos. What I'd like to be able to do is drag and drop them into a viewport, but it seems that if I save them as an Image, I can only do that as a fill. Similarly, if I've imported an image file, I cannot directly make an image resource out of that file, I must re-import it as an image.
