Rotate Tool

Trying and trying to find the correct fulcrum point and rotation direction to copy the red lines into the position of the blue lines.  I get close, but then need to mirror copy them.  Is it just going to be a two command task or have I just not figured it out yet?

Using a 45degree guideline between where they exist and where you want them to exist, find where that line and the extension line from your middle object intersect, then you can rotate ccw.

Perfect.  I knew It would be about a 45 angle, I kept trying the upper line.  Still is kinda 2-steps but at least I understand better how it works.  Thank you.

And just to be sure... you don't have to actually draw the 45° line unless it helps you in some way. The mirror tool will mirror across whatever vector you indicate while using the tool, regardless of whether there's a line there or not. And if you have angle snaps on, 45° should be one of the angles the mirror tol automatically snaps to (this is set up by double clicking the angle snaps button).
