Some people (including myself) have experienced quite a bit of slowness on Windows 10, thanks to @JimWI quickly figured out that updating/reinstalling the graphics card driver might solve the issue. And it did for me.
However... it appears that further updates to the Anniversary Update (Windows build 1607) may reintroduce slowness to the OS and slowness/jerky display to some software, incl. VW. If you do experience this again after a Windows update then please try reinstalling the graphics card drivers first before trying other things such as a restart, as it looks like the Windows updates for build 1607 are somehow messing with the graphics card drivers. (Restarting the computer did not solve it, reinstalling the graphics drivers did)
