Drawing tools invisible until completed

Hi all,

Using vectorworks 2016 on a Mac.

Everything was working as normal until around 30 mins ago....now whenever I go to draw anything, circles, lines, etc, the first click sets a starting point then you can't see anything happen until you click a second time and the shape or line suddenly appears. I've been through all settings, reset most of them in an effort to get it back.

Any suggestions?

Same behavior after restarting the application? What version is your operating system?

Same behaviour after restarting application and after restarting mac, brand new mac book pro on 10.11.6 same as you.

However a second ago it randomly started working fine again.....very very odd indeed!!

Would still like to try and find out why it does it as I lost around an hour of work to messing around and scratching my head!

Just a thought, but maybe try changing the display setting in VW2017 from 'Best performace' to 'Good performance and compatible' ?

Tools > Options > Vectorworks Preferences : Display Tab > Navigation Graphics
