Bas Vellekoop
Hi Alan, And when you are editing the subdivision, does it then still works? Like in my example? Edited August 19, 2016 by Bas Vellekoop Quote Link to comment
rDesign
Bas- I get the same result as you when invoking X-Ray mode while editing a subdivision object. Any objects other than the subdivision object show correctly in X-Ray, but the subdivision itself does not. In my example I have a 3D sphere located behind and below the subdivision object: The subdivision object obscures any objects behind it in X-Ray mode. Quote Link to comment
Bas Vellekoop
Thanks for looking at it Tim! I will ask Jim if this works as designed or is a bug. If its not a bug i will fill a wish. Quote Link to comment
AlanW
Yes agree, seems that when in the command and you invoke the xray mode there is no xray just the white circle. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted August 22, 2016 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted August 22, 2016 I don't know how engineering would respond to this, but any solid object should be responding to the xray function regardless. I'm sure this is because the subdivision dragger and UI are separate from the regular VGM UI elements, but I can totally see the benefit if xray were to be usable on subdivs. File it as a wish for the time being please. rDesign
I don't know how engineering would respond to this, but any solid object should be responding to the xray function regardless. Well I guess they could respond by saying that Subdivision objects are made of lead, and therefore X-Ray Vision is useless. Quote Link to comment
