Josh NZ
I have a simple roof which was drawn at 30°, need to lower to 15°. Have selected roof, right clicked, edit, entered new pitch and ticked "entire roof". The message comes up "Roof creation failed because the underlying geometry is too complex. Please try again after simplifying the geometry. Now the roof was already generated, I haven't made any change other than wanting to lower the pitch. Why is this simple task not possible? Have not inserted, Attic, Soffit or Fascia. Also have not used components. Edited August 9, 2016 by Josh NZ Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Perhaps try to recreate from the original polygon, but this time use 15º. Also, it's possible (but only slightly) that quitting and restarting could help. Worst case scenario, select each node and change its pitch. Quote Link to comment
Josh NZ
Thanks Peter, by doing the above have now got the roof to show as 15°. Is this a bug then that your unable to lower the pitch to a certain point, but to go any further you have to use a different method? Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Hi Josh, I'm not sure if there is a bug, but it's entirely possible. I'll play around with it and see. Glad you have a workable solution for the moment. Quote Link to comment
