Hyperlinks to Documents

We need to be able to link to documents and use the PDF created by VW as a link-rich navigation sheet for a depositorary of documents (eg pdf's).

From the help file this is currently not possible:

"DesignSeries.pngExporting Hyperlinks to PDF

Only hyperlinks that open a web page or navigate to a sheet layer are functional when exported to a PDF file."

Have you tried the "Hyperlink" tool? I have not used it extensively, but it allows you to add a link that will go to a web page, saved view, document, or folder.

That's what bcd means, basically enhance the hyperlink tool so that it can also open other PDFs from an exported PDF. Generally this is done (in software that supports linking other PDF documents) via relative file links, so for example any PDF in the same folder as the active PDF could be linked to.

Reference markers should have the ability to act as hyperlinks as well. This should be automatic if they are linked to a viewport.
