Tom@PSA
Hi all, Have had an issue with a drawing, where all the line weights are changed to 0.35 and the drawing looks of a lower resolution which has thrown the measurements out. All of the imported CAD blocks have been exploded into individual lines as well as the text annotations being separated into individual letters. Fairly stumped on this one, any other instances of this or suggestions on how to fix? Quote Link to comment

AlanW
This file wasn't provided by another reluctant Architect was it?? Because if a Client brings a Cad file from another Architect you are getting his intellectual property so sometimes the other architect hands over Sad files with everything exploded and all on the one class to make your life as difficult as possible because he has lost the job. In which case you got a bit of work to do, which is his hope. Quote Link to comment
Art V
Did you import an original CAD file (i.e. dwg file) or could it be a PDF file that has been converted to CAD (dwg)? If the latter it could explain the low quality of the contents, the text etc. Assuming it is a dwg file, another option could be that the dwg file contained objects not supported in an older dwg format and as a result got converted into basic objects. If the viewres setting was low this may have affected the conversion resolution as well depending on the objects and the originating CAD software. Quote Link to comment
