abrewin
Hello all, Have any of you had any luck creating a stop chamfer on a 3d object? I'm drawing an island that has 4 posts with stop chamfer's on them and having a hard time figuring out how to properly do that in VW. Thanks in advance! Best, Andrew Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Rather than using the Chamfer tool, make a 3D object that is equivalent to what you need to take away and then use Subtract Solids. You can make one object to refine the chamfer and then just make three copies for the other edges and do only one Subtract. That will make it easier to do future changes. Quote Link to comment
AlanW
Hi, I used the chamfer tool to create this. Created 2 extruded rectangles chamfers one then sat the unchamfed one on top of the other, added together as a solid then chanfered the mitre under the bottom of the top one. AlanW
Hi, You might want to add in the option for the stop champher end to be either square as in the previous image or curves as this is how it comes out with the router. Regards Edited April 1, 2015 by Alan777 Quote Link to comment
