Mike Wright
I've had no choice but to upgrade to Yosemite now and despite having to remove 16Gb of non apple RAM (thanks Apple) is running smoothly apart from from VW 2015 always seems to create it's own space, with a black desktop. There seems to be no way to control this behaviour. Anyone else had this? Quote Link to comment
Mike Wright
solved, it's the change from 'maximise' to full screen on the green button. Quite annoying given my preferred workspace layout but guess I'll get over it Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted December 1, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 1, 2014 It isn't just you. There is a weird issue in the combination of Vectorworks' built in fullscreen mode (Window > Use Full Screen) and the automatic fullscreen mode in OS X. Its entirely possible to get stuck between the two currently. Quote Link to comment
Mike Wright
Thanks Jim Yosemite's implementation of full screen is clumsy at best, especially for those using multiple monitors Quote Link to comment
rowbear97
So other than the full screen issue is there any issues with crashes or un-expected behavior form Yosemite? Quote Link to comment

domer1322
I read a post about 2 weeks ago that said there was a printing problem involving pdf files generated in Yosemite. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted December 9, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 9, 2014 I read a post about 2 weeks ago that said there was a printing problem involving pdf files generated in Yosemite. https://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=205995 This is still not fully resolved. For some the issue only occurs when they use File > Print > Save as PDF, for some it happens with Export PDF (and therefore the Publish function) as well. Further, most users only see the problem when viewing the exported PDFs in Adobe Reder or Acrobat, but not in Preview. Some users had no more problems with this after SP2, but some did. From what I understand, our half of this issue was corrected in 2015 SP2 and the remainder of the problem is on Apple's end. I'll check and see if there has been any change in the issue status. rowbear97
I've never had that much luck with plotting or printing either at my home office with my Mac and Designer 2015 or at my clients office running on Windows w/ Landmark 2015. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted April 3, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 3, 2015 Windows printing issues I've always been able to narrow down to the printer, or just a simple driver/firmware update, if it wasn't a usage issue. Its only Mac where we've run into a wall troubleshooting in some instances. Make sure you get in touch with support directly in either case to rule out something easily correctable.
