Plant list scaling

When creating a planting plan and then generating a plant list it is often a challenge to fit a large list onto a planting plan sheet. I understand that you can't scale the list directly rather you would have to change the font size of each column or row as well as the cell spacing. As a work around I print a pdf of the list and then scale it down. Is there a better way?

The best way I've found - short of spending hours reformatting for a single Sheet it to create a Plant List Design Layer.

Then it's easy to create a SLVP of only this DL and set the scale to fit.
