Ilay
Hi Will it be a possible to add real-time rendering? or pre-visualization? Of course if will be after 64-bit support to handle data in memory. Utilize maybe via progressive physical render in c4d r15 or for fine work if possible to add support for otoy's brigade Edited May 11, 2014 by Ilay Quote Link to comment
0 Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted May 12, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 12, 2014 Submitting request now. There have been a few requests similar to this one, in addition to accepting other rendering plugin replacements such as Maxwell Render. Quote Link to comment

0 M5d
There's an article at Architosh on OTOY which is partly about the Octane plugin and how OTOY allows the plugins to be built and the revenue split. It's already available for ArchiCAD and Cinema4D, ideal for Vectorworks??? Quote Link to comment
0 M5d
render.otoy.com Only CUDA enabled Nvidia GPUs are supported at the moment, but their FAQ's page states OpenCL support for AMD and Intel GPUs is planned. Features: "Octane can produce final images 10 to 50 times faster than CPU unbiased render engines, or even more with multiple GPUs . . ." Quote Link to comment
0 Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted May 27, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 27, 2014 I will go ahead and add that to the request, (but I can tell you that if it doesn't yet support Intel and AMD as well as Nvidia, it most likely will not be considered until it does.) That?s understandable and why I added it. It would be surprising though, if you guys hadn't already looked into OTOY and Octane, especially given the list of companies who have jumped in while only CUDA GPU's are supported. The Architosh article is interesting, OTOY are doing a number of things that, as the title suggests, ?will change our 3D world?. Quote Link to comment
