George K
Hi, Trying to use the wall recess tool under the AEC tab efficiently ... my question is is there an option of creating a wall recess (i.e to create a skirting board run) along a string of walls (and types) without having to create a number of extrudes and having to go through the process a number of times? Thank you Edited November 25, 2013 by George K Quote Link to comment
George K
...Actually it seems that it doesn't matter which way it's used, it still doesn't work. It either leaves a small nib at the intersection of two walls or decides to delete entire wall. Am I missing something? GK Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted November 25, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 25, 2013 Normally ive seen this done a few ways: Add the skirting as a wall component for that particular wall style. A component could be added to the inside of the wall that functions as this skirt/baseboard. For very complex runs, extrude along path, just tracing out (or extractive a curve/path from the walls directly) where youd want the skirting to follow, then extruding a profile of it along the entire thing at once, or at least in large chunks. CipesDesign
Unfortunately Wall Features have never worked at wall intersections (corners). I have commented on this numerous times. Seems to still be the case in the latest version. Quote Link to comment
