0 Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted November 13, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 13, 2013 (edited) When using the dimension tool and creating a line (or string) of dimensions, after creating the first string and moving on to the next string, the subsequent strings of dimension would "snap" at a set distance apart via a control in the OIP. This would greatly streamline the process and would bring productivity in line with Revit's dimension tool. To clarify: Do you mean the next string of dimensions after drawing one string (a chain dimension, you mean?) will snap to the same offset distance as whatever the last one was, and then they could have that offset distance controllable via the OIP? 0 Kevin McAllister
I'm all for dimension reform. It has always puzzled me as to why the third click is needed when creating a dimension in the basic dimension mode for example. I always use the same offset (in paper distance). Or why do different dimension modes uses a different dimension cursor? Kevin Quote Link to comment
