Kizza
This may make you worksheet gurus drop to your knees, but is there a way to "flatten" a worksheet so I can overide the values? I know, I know... Quote Link to comment
VincentCuclair
What values? Quote Link to comment
VincentCuclair
For Viewports use Modify>Convert to Lines For Borders and Title blocks use Modify>Convert to Group Then use Ungroup for everything to get lines........ (Just to be a little positive in these negative times I wonder if any of this is possible in ArchiCAD or Revit?) Edited August 23, 2013 by Vincent C Quote Link to comment

(Just to be a little positive in these negative times I wonder if any of this is possible in ArchiCAD or Revit?) Convert to group worked with worksheets. Thx. I was curious if there was a way to retain the formatting of the worksheet (cell colours, headers etc) by flattening, or disconnecting the cells from the Database Header but retaining the info as spreadsheet data which can be changed. You can cheat with vectorworks - you can't with Revit. Edited August 23, 2013 by Kizza Quote Link to comment
RickR
I've done this by copy and paste with Excel. Copy the some or all of the worksheet in edit mode. Paste into Excel. Then copy that and paste into a new VW worksheet. Remember that pasting into a VW worksheet isn't quite as robust as one might want. I strongly recommend keeping the linked version so you can easily update the unlinked data after the inevitable redesign. Quote Link to comment
Kizza
Sounds fraught with danger. I just created a blank worksheet and re-entered the data within VW. Very small worksheet anyway... Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Another possibility is to make your own record format and attach it to the objects in the database section of the worksheet. You can then manually enter whatever data you want in those cells. Quote Link to comment
Kizza
Mainly window and door schedule. Example: I want to change "Simple Swing" to "Hinged". or "Pocket Simple" to "Cavity Slider" These descriptions appear to be hard coded and unchangeable. Quote Link to comment
