Christiaan
Does anyone understand what's going on here? I thought the Brick Shader texture was meant to align its coursing to z=0? Not only is it not aligning to anything in particular where our model starts at z=0, but it has a totally different alignment on another design layer even though this point is at z=1200 (which is a 16 bricks above z=0). Christiaan
When I look directly at the model the texture is fine and aligning as expected in OpenGL and Renderworks. If I create a Section Viewport with just one design layer the texture aligns correctly. As soon as I add another design layer the texture alignment moves. Quote Link to comment
Peter van der Elst
Yep same here in VW2012... Unfortunately a section viewport isn't interactive so we can't change things directly in the viewport... Or use vector hatches... Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
So it turns out this is a bug with no known workaround. Have to go tell the main contractor now, no sorry, we can't align the coursing correctly on our elevations. Not critical, but just another thing that makes our documents look amateur. Wouldn't have had this problem with 2D in VW. #BIMfail Quote Link to comment
bcd
Have you tried the Attribute Mapping tool to tweak it to place? (Option+A) Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
Attribute mapping doesn't work on my external walls for some reason (says it doesn't have an editable texture, which is incorrect). In any case I wouldn't want to go around the whole model manually changing the attribute mapping for each wall. Furthermore, the mapping of the texture in the model is fine, it's the viewports where it goes wrong. Quote Link to comment
