Christiaan
I've just noticed a problem with the native window tool (which I hadn't noticed until now because I've been using WinDoor). Currently, even if you have the size reference set to 'structural opening', the head height doesn't refer to the structural opening but the actual window head, so you have to manually take account of this by taking off the shim gap to get the correct height. The way it should work, if you have the size reference set to structural opening, is that the head height should refer to the structural opening height, not the actual window head. This is a classic example of the disconnect between NV and architectural knowledge. And it's this type of thing that makes it very hard to promote VW as a professional architectural BIM tool. Jonathan Pickup
this should be reported as a bug Quote Link to comment

Chris D
Mate, unbelievably....Revit is just as bad. The windows Autodesk added to the NBL have a head height parameter that acts on the sill height! Quote Link to comment

Chris D
 ...the grass on the other side...... Just like VW...there are some great things about Revit...and some infuriating things too. This forum is one of the great things about VW. Revit discussion is far more fragmented... Quote Link to comment

Christiaan
Well yeah but it's one thing to upload a duff object to a national object library. It's another to build an architectural CAD product without sufficient architectural knowledge. Quote Link to comment
