Stair Tool: ability to add finishes to sides

We'd like the ability to add finishes to the side of a flight of stairs.

When modelling concrete stairs in often we'll have a blockwork wall running underneath in line with the edge of the stair. This blockwork wall is then plastered with wet plaster (or similar) along with the edge of the stair.

I'd rather want a wall where you can let the plaster make higher, or even better, that the wall will cut adapt itself to the stair.

True. I'm not sure how I'd want it implemented. I just know we need to be able to add finishes to stair edges.

We sure need them, and also being able to have a negative offset for the finish of the treads of concrete stairs! We can only have positive offsets now.

Couple of problems with that approach Vincent. One is that you have to create a separate wall style. But the main problem is it doesn't follow the line of the treads and risers.

We need a whole new stair tool. I would as them to stop fussing around with the current and rebuild from ground up. One of the worst most frustation tools in VW.
