Snap Loupe: turn off zoom line thickness by default

Crazy default setting if you ask me. What's the point of having zoom line thickness on for a tool that is explicitly about accuracy?

I've often wondered whether anyone actually makes a design decision on default settings in VW or whether it's just left to chance.

I often wonder the very same yet I don't seem to be having this problem. Below I have zoom line thickness on and when I Command Z the Snap Loupe defaults to OFF.

What do you suppose is the difference?

That's the general zoom line thickness setting. Snap Loupe has its own preference setting, under SmartCursor Settings.

Understood. My point is that my Snap Loupe does not default to zoom line thickness ON (as shown in the screen shot)despite my attempts to over-ride with the general setting.

So is your complaint that you must always enter the dialog and untick the Zoom Line Thickness box? I don't have this problem either but I generally open new files as templates.

No I'm saying that out of the box the default setting for the Snap Loupe is to have zoom line thickness on.

I guess I turned mine off so long ago I forgot I had to....

Yeah it's one of those things that turned me off using it. Not until I stopped to think 'can it be behave differently' did I realise there was a separate preference option for it today.
