Patrick Fritsch
Hi, I'm using the "base cabinet" tool to layout kitchens, there is a setting to include the counter-top for each module inserted but how can I hide the joint that is shown in top plan view? taoist
For auto countertops, select draw countertop in the OIP. Just check the square, set the options. If you do the initial parameters, cabinets and tops, every cabinet you place will be drawn that way. This will save you editing time. If you are talking about an "extra" line on top, that is the reveal option. To not have that line show, you must use Countertop Tool. See images. Edited June 18, 2012 by taoist Quote Link to comment
Patrick Fritsch
It's the end to end joints of the countertop that I'm trying to hide in top/plan view. See attached image. Quote Link to comment

Patrick Fritsch
It's the countertop end joints in top/plan view that I want to hide. See attached circled in red example. Quote Link to comment
taoist
Got it. Use countertop tool. Set length of top to run of cabinets Set Left, Right, or Center Insertion Point. Double click on corner of cabinet run You also need to give it (countertop) a solid fill or you will see the individual cabinet end (join) lines. Edited June 18, 2012 by taoist Quote Link to comment
Joe-SA
Toggle off 'Show Detail' in the base cabinet PIO. Doesn't effect 3D view. Joe Quote Link to comment
taoist
Good catch! Note: If you need to see the ends of the left and right ends of the cabinet(s)run, OIP > End Finish > None, Left, Right, Peninsula Left, Peninsula Right, Island on a per cabinet basis. On a different note: Adjust Top, Bottom, Center, Side, Mid Reveals to get cabinet looks of Full Overlay Doors, Butt Style, Face Frame. Cabinet on left is reveals set to 1/2" Cabinet on right is default reveal settings OpenGl with Draw Edges Selected under OpenGL Options Edited June 18, 2012 by taoist Quote Link to comment
