Christiaan
When joining walls which have a structural core the wall components join with a cap. Is there any way to avoid this? Quote Link to comment
VincentCuclair
Don't know, Component Join will fix it but that's a couple of clicks more than you were hoping for I guess....... Edited June 1, 2012 by Vincent C Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
Yeah that's right. Do you get the same behaviour? Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
I only have this behaviour for the components that use a tile fill. The other are alright. But clean your wall caps before joining, it can help. Quote Link to comment

Joe-SA
One note here....I've had situations where I've used the component join tool to fix these joints and at times I've wanted some components to be square and some to be mitered. However, later I've modified the texture assigned to the Wall Type and when the walls get replaced as part of the wall type update process...all of my custom component joining goes away and I return to my default wall join. Very frustrating when tweaking a texture is often the one of the last thing you do long after you thought you were past the floor plan development. Submitted this to tech support over a year ago. Haven't tested with the latest service pack. Quote Link to comment
Christian Fekete
Cleaning before joining is always a good idea but I recently noticed the same issue. Will forget about this for a while and come back later, i usually find a solution that way. GD LUK Quote Link to comment
