jlevin128
Hi! I am new to VW and know this is most likely a very basic question, but I can't seem to figure it out. I need to place fixtures in my plot, but it seems that the only symbols I can find are lekos and pars. How do I aquire more symbols specifically a generic moving spot, wash, and par bar like a pixelline 1044 or colorblaze. I dont mind if it's not the exact correct fixture, just something I can use and edit the light data. Thanks! ~Josh Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted May 14, 2012 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 14, 2012 Josh, Symbols are located in Vectorworks\Libraries\Objects-Entertainment\. From the drop-down in resource browser select Vectorworks Libraries... and it should take you there, then you can browse into the Objects-Entertainment folder. I noticed you are a student, If the folders are not there you may need to download the full student version or install from the DVD. (I think there are 2 versions offered for student download, one with and one without the libraries because the libraries are so large.) Quote Link to comment
JBenghiat
In addition to the symbols included in VW, there is an extensive library available in Soft Symbols from Field Template: http://www.fieldtemplate.com/soft/softcopy.html You can also look up making your own Spotlight optimized in VW help. If you are only working in 2D, making your own symbols is fairly straightforward. -Josh Quote Link to comment
