Vady
I am needing to make a slanted horizontal truss. I need to have one end of the truss with a bottom z of 15' and the other end of the truss to have a bottom z of 16'. How is the possible in Vectorworks 2010? Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
If you mean a parallel chord truss with a pitch then the Framing tool in Architect has a pitch option. If you mean a truss with a horizontal top chord and a rising bottom chord so the truss tapers then you will have to model it yourself. Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
If you are using the Truss Tool in Vectorworks Spotlight you will need to convert your truss to a group and then rotate it in a front elevation. The hybrid nature of the truss created by the Truss Tool prevents it from creating angles truss. Kevin Quote Link to comment

All you have to do is to enter the desired angle for your truss into the "Hanging Angle" box (about 3/4 of the way down the OIP). Quote Link to comment

C. Andrew Dunning
Ryan - BTW, I see you're in Nashville. You may or may not know that we have a local users' group (w. lots of production/entertaiment folk). If you're interested, drop me a direct message and I'll add you to our mailing list.
