Nicholas Kargel
Hello! I'm working on a set design that will have a wall contain one large graphic image, split into segments. There will be gaps between the segments, but the graphic should continue as if the gaps weren't there. As if I had a giant graphic and cut slices out of it without changing their relative position. Like a triptych painting. Is there a good way to map the image texture across all the extrudes such as they have the same reference point in space, so I don't have to endless fiddle with H and V offset? thanks. Pat Stanford
You should be able to make a single texture large enough to cover all the panels. When you apply the texture to each of the panels make sure to check the Use World Z check box at the bottom of the OIP and they should all line up properly. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted December 6, 2011 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 6, 2011 Another way to do this is to extrude all the elements of the panel as one. Make the texture with a single tile of it large enough to cover all pieces. If all the pieces are extruded at once, the texture need only be applied once and you can use the Attribute Mapping tool to ensure it starts in the right place. Quote Link to comment
