Mitchell Brooks
I have used a typical VW texture for some of the walls in a building model. Now I want to change that texture's colours but find I am stumped. The texture is Shingle Wood Irregular. This is composed of a number of different colours and I want to change the colours to be lighter, anyways using custom colours. If I go to the Texture and attempt to edit it, I can change it somewhat by using one colour as a filter in Image/Edit. But this doesn't change it enough. I don't have an alternate image to use in lieu of this one. Any ideas out there? Quote Link to comment
bcd
One way is, in the Resource Browser, Extract the texutre's image. In Photoshop desaturate and lighten Create a new texture using this image and give it a filter color to suit. Quote Link to comment
Mitchell Brooks
bcd, thanks. I see that option now in the Resource Browser. I can do the PS thing OK. Great! Quote Link to comment
Horst M.
in some cases it might work to use the Colour-Filter Option of the Texture. Edited September 14, 2011 by Horst M. Quote Link to comment
