Jodyb17
Trying to update 12.0.0 on a new computer running OS 10.6.8. When running the update I get an error message that says the update is obsolete and that I should download a new one. The website the message sends me to does not have 12.5.3 as an option to download. Thoughts? Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Jody, according to the official list (see link) unfortunately 12.x.x is not compatible with any Mac OS later than 10.5.8. You will need to upgrade your version of VW's. In all fairness the version you own is now four years old, which in software years is past the age of retirement... Sorry. http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/875/Vectorworks+Operating+System+Compatibility+List+7-20-2011 Quote Link to comment
Jodyb17
Thanks for the info Mr. Cipes. Odd that 12.0 installs fine, just won't update. 12.5.3 is running fine on other 10.6 machines here in the office, but I guess they were migrated from older machines. Upgrading the one machine means upgrading all of the others in the office. Not really an option since we are phasing out VW in favor of another program. Thanks anyway.... maarten.
copy/paste a program folder from an other mac that does have 12.5.3? But of course, backup before you do this! Quote Link to comment
