Workplane Depth
Can a additional way of selecting a workplane be added to the to the 3d tools. Changes to the workplane: [*]User selected depth of view, hiding all objects above or below the set limits , example +500mm, -500mm [*]Automativcaly rotates the view to the the selected work plane This would enable a quick way of hiding unwanted object and setting a useful drawing area with the minimum number of clicks. On some types of drawings if it takes 8 clicks to and you need to do this 500 times, you end up clicking some 4000 times though a standard sequence. This method that is proposed would allow to set up a useful view in one click. Regards Quote Link to comment

This is about same wish as DigitalMechanic's Detail Cube concept (check out the YouTube). http://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=153237&Searchpage=1&Main=30828&Words=digitalmechanics&Search=true#Post153237 -B Quote Link to comment
0 grant_PD
I agree. I like that you can touch a face and get the working plane, but it doesn't always work. A setting to automatically save the working plane once you get it would be nice. Quote Link to comment
0 bcd
I believe you can cycle through previous WPs whether saved or not via the little blue forward/back buttons on the WP Palette. Quote Link to comment
