Guest Demfis Fyssicopulos
Dear all, is there a way I can save a .vwx file as a "locked" file so changes cannot be made?. Thanks. df Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
Sorry, no. Why not use PDFs? Quote Link to comment
Bob Holtzmann
Individual objects in the .vwx file can be locked, so perhaps "Select All" and "Lock" will do? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted November 20, 2010 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 20, 2010 Why not lock the file using the operating system? Both Mac and Windows have file permissions that will let you set a file as "read only". Quote Link to comment
Ozzie
Robert, tried that on my Windows 7 64 bit puter and I gat a drop down saying File is read-only. Do you want to open a copy of it with a new name? Quote Link to comment
bcd
On a Mac you can lock the file but the user has the option to open a copy with a new name - so it's very weakly locked. Quote Link to comment
