Fergy
I took the plunge and ordered a new MBP. Does anyone know if there's a way to convert my PC-based license for VW/Renderworks/Spotlight over to mac, or am I stuck ordering a second license? I know I can run it in Bootcamp or Parallels, but as I understand it I'll still be stuck at the RAM limit doing that. Or am I incorrect? I know that the license allows you to install on a desktop and a laptop. Effectively, that's what I would be doing here, but they are two different platforms. I'd rather keep my PC-based design station, however. Anyone got any ideas? Should I just call NNA? Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
You need to call NNA. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Ray is right that you will need to contact NNA. Typically, they will switch your platform only when you do a version upgrade, but have your serial number ready when you call. Depending on what type of license you have, you may be in luck. HP Sauce
They swapped ours over for the princely sum of 100 american dollars. Quote Link to comment
Fergy
I talked with them this morning, and they didn't really want to do it, but they will let me change the update to 2010 to the mac version, which is fine. FWIW, both versions are on the same DVD, but you need a mac serial# to install. Quote Link to comment
Kool Aid
The dongled (EU) version works on both platforms. Same serial#, same dongle. Quote Link to comment
Fergy
Do they offer a dongled version for the US? Quote Link to comment
