MacG3Freak
Does anyone else keep getting the annoying, "Personalize Your Copy of Vectorworks" dialogue box when they start up 2010? And is anyone else having problems with the mysterious disappearing Navigation pallet? I'm running OS 10.6.2 with VW2010 SP1. I tried installing it on another computer with the same results. -G. GWS
I too have noticed strange behaviour with the Navigation Pallet, especially after deleting sheet layers the whole pane goes blank. Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
My navigation palette went blank yesterday for the first time. I did something that made it disappear, then when I opened it again through the Window menu, it was blank. I quit and restarted VW, and it was fine after that. Your other "Personalize Your Copy of Vectorworks" problem may be solved with a reinstall of VW 2010, or you may have a problem with your serial number. I'm confident that tech support could help you with that. Quote Link to comment
MacG3Freak
I found that you don't have to restart VW to get the pane back and working, just go to your workspaces menu and click whichever workspace you want, it should pop right back up. Quote Link to comment
Ken
New installation here. Latest version as of today. I was about to post the same question. How can I get rid of this "Personalize Your Copy of Vectorworks" startup message? I'm able to just hit OK without typing anything, so it makes no sense to me. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted March 11, 2010 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 11, 2010 Ken, To get rid of the "Personalize Your Copy of Vectorworks" message I think you have to enter something into BOTH fields. Quote Link to comment
Ken
Duh. Thanks, Kevin. Apparently the trouble was the other login acct (permissions problem), so I didn't bother to type in anything. Now it's fine. Quote Link to comment
