Lightwright Import symbol issue

I'm using someone else's VW 2009 file, and every time I import from Lightwright my instruments turn into Label Legends, complete with the blue and red boxes. Anyone have a fix for this?

I forgot some pertinent information. I've recently reinstalled both programs on a new Intel-based Mac and consequently lost all of my presets and shortcuts. This is the first time I have tried an import on this computer, and I am running 10.5.8

Are you using SpotLight's "Import Instrument Data" command? Send me the file and I'll take a look.

Make sure your field mapping in both applications is correct.

It soundls like the Symbol Field is being matched with the Label Legend field.

What happens if you replace the instrument with a different instrument?

Interesting...VW seems to have defaulted to linking "US" from LW with "Accessories" in VW. Once I linked "Use Legend" to "US" I no longer get the problem. It must have been adding the Label Legend as an accessory to each instrument. Weird. The solution, then, is to save a mapping file, yes? No other way to reset the default mapping?

That's really strange. Make sure you have the most up-to-date version of VW.

Save the mapping file and use it.

I'd double check things till you are sure the mapping file works correctly.

I've updated to Service Pack 2, but I find the same thing. The Unique ID is set to Mark, which I wasn't sure was right. Changing it, however, didn't change the Autolink selections.
