kevin nicol design
Hey folks, I can't get my doors to display as open in 2D. When I click on the box for "3D Open" it flashes on the screen for a second or so and then disappears... Hard to get my clients to visualize "door" without the leaf... Thanks. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
In the Object Info Palette there is a field called Open Angle (or some such). Try changing it to something other than 0 (eg: 90, 45...) Quote Link to comment
kevin nicol design
Done. Still doesn't work! Flashes on and then disappears again. Argh! What a simple thing to be hung up on.... Errrrrrr... Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
You said "in 2d". Are you on Top/Plan view? Or Plan view (which is a 3d view)? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Is it just the leaf or the swing also. If it is the swing, check your class settings and make sure the Sills class is visible. Quote Link to comment
kevin nicol design
Peter, In Top/Plan view... Pat, Thanks, that seems to have solved it! Never knew! Weird... Thanks the both of you! Quote Link to comment
kevin nicol design
Arrrgh! It's happening again, with "Sills" class selected, in 2D Top/Plan View. Switching to 3D Top view shows them open, but I want to submit drawings in 2D Top/Plan view, of course... I really don't like such a simple thing going awry... what a pain! Cheers, kdb Quote Link to comment
kevin nicol design
And now... I try importing a piece of Knoll furniture from the resource browser, and it places, but then I cannot select it or move it... ??? kdb Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
You have the class of the object turned off. If you have Class Options set to Show/Snap/Modify Others you MUST be in Top/Plan view NOT Top view. Quote Link to comment
kevin nicol design
Thanks, Ray. Another "duh" moment... Cheers. Quote Link to comment
