property line notation control

I have a subdivision plan showing lots and within each lot I have a building platform. For each lot I want to have a lot name and lot area showing with the area shown as XXXm? (m with supercript 2). But the (uneditable) default is S.M. (this looks VERY unprofessional) in the metric world.

Where is the S.M. coming from?

can I change a .dll or some other resource?

or is this attribute hard-coded?

If it is hard coded it needs updating urgently as non-compliance with metric standards is a real passion killer when it comes to software uptake.

S.M. is part of the coding and can't be changed. m? is the correct SI form and is what it should be.

it appears that 'S.M.' is a hold-over from the pre-UTF8 days when superscripts could only be expressed in ASCII with application specific coding or using the ^2 .

Also need the ability to turn off annotation of individual segments to handle overlapping annotation of common segments.
