VincentCuclair
How about the option for a floating Tool Bar? Quote Link to comment
0 Christiaan
You can already tear off all your Tool Sets if that's what you mean. Just grab and drag em. Quote Link to comment
0 VincentCuclair
No, i mean when you activate a certain tool the tool options appear next to you're mouse (just like the floating data bar) in a little window, before you make the first click. Bentley had it a while back and AC has it now, i've gotten quite used to it and it saves quite a bit of mouse movement/mode group short-cutting.... Quote Link to comment
0 Jeffrey W Ouellette
I think what he means, Christiaan, is making the Mode Bar float next to the cursor(currently is is 'adhered' near the top of the drawing window), like the Floating Data Bar. Quote Link to comment
0 VincentCuclair
Another nice trick that speeds up things is a smart version of the current direct number input in the data bar. ie click and move the cursor either along the x(or y)-axis and input the distance, then move the cursor along the other axes and input the distance, enter and done! the data bar automatically activates the right data field (no more need for tabbing any more). Understand? Now if you want to draw a vertical line you click, tab twice, input distance and click/enter twice, my wish: click, move mouse vertical, input distance and click done! The mouse direction movement kind of works as an automatic tab..... Quote Link to comment

0 Quick Draw McGraw
I like this idea. How about also Context Tool palettes like the Context Menus. Say Option+Right Click to bring up a customised tool palette at the mouse cursor. Quote Link to comment
