CS1
I have taken a perspective view of my model. Saved as a viewport. Then in the OIP of the viewport I have set the "RW Background" to an image. For this particular viewport the image background doesnt fill the background. How do I get it to work? I have tried using the "translate tool" but that just distorts the perspective. CipesDesign
The only way I know of is to resize the image prior to importing it. Takes some trial and error, but can work well if you have the patience. Quote Link to comment
gmm18
I have had success just creating a duplicate of the renderworks background in your resource browser, then right-click->edit->background_image->options, and change the size there until you get it looking right. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Yes, that sometimes works. But there are times when you might need to add a blank space below (by increasing "canvas" size for example) in order to get things to look good with a more-or-less realistic, site-specific background... gmm18
Another good option that I like for using on sheet layers is to: -On the sheet layer -Create a rectangle and send it back behind your viewport. -Then use and image fill on the rectangle. -If you already have a renderworks background made using the image you want to use, you can in the resource browser Create New Image->Reuse an Image From Another Resource. -Then use the Image Fill options to manipulate the size and placement of the image. You can also use the Attribute Mapping tool to quickly adjust it how you like. Edited June 25, 2008 by gmm18 Quote Link to comment
CS1
Yeah I have experimented with changin the size of the background, but its like 90% of the image is up to the right of my perspective, I have to increase the image (x10) or (x100) for the blue of the sky to cover the complete perspective, by this point the clouds are massive and look pixelated when printed. Why is the RW Background not centred behind the view? Quote Link to comment
CS1
Thanx gym18 I didnt think of that, that looks like quite an easy way to achieve what I want, I will try it now. Quote Link to comment
