So, I have been reading all the posts about print jobs freezing with pattern fills. I, too, have been having this issue...both with export to PDF and printing from my Epson. To add to my problems, not only am I needing to print a pattern fill, I need the opacity to be around 40%. I thought I found a work around when, instead of using a VW pattern, I just created an image that resembled the pattern I wanted, imported it as a image resource, and used it as an image fill repeated. Now the print job does go through, however the opacity of the object is somewhat ignored. It appears that the image does show it's opacity at 40%, but the repeating of the image throughout the rest of the object is not. I have attached a snapshot of my print preview. FYI, I get the same results when exporting to PDF.
