Brooke
Somehow some formerly opaque fills became transparent, so a white fill looked like it was not filled and I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure that one out but assigned another color fill only to find out that it was somewhat transparent. How to fix; how to assign? Atribute palette does not appear to show transparency though it seems it should. Quote Link to comment
Travis
Transparency can also be assigned by Class. Check your class setting to see if you have transparency set to something other than 100%. Good luck, Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
in VectorWorks 2008 you can assign transparency from the attribute palette, but not VectorWorks 12. I think it?s layer transparency in VectorWorks 12. So check your layer settings. If anyone wants detailed exercises covering this, it is one of the topics I covered in my online user group last year. if you join the user group, you can see the back issues... Quote Link to comment
Guest
It's a setting for the layer - edit the layer and set the "Transfer Mode" to Paint. It's likely set to "Overlay" or "Opacity" Quote Link to comment
Brooke
Thanks, folks, but no dice. All layers 'transfer' set to 'paint' (that seems a bit obscure to me). Travis, the class setting you mention maybe is only available for 2008? Quote Link to comment
Guest
Brooke, Can you take a screen shot and post the image here? Quote Link to comment
Brooke
I guess so, Katie, what would you like in that image other than a clearly transparent (sur)face with some color to show it is not just unfilled? Maybe an open Org window showing layers set to 'paint'? Quote Link to comment
