Purge: purge on folder by folder basis

Christiaan

Question

One problem with the purge command, as it is, is that it's a sledge hammer when a lot of the time all you need is a nut cracker.

For instance we've finished drawings some elevations of a building and we now have quite a few superseded/redundant window symbols that we'd like to get rid of. But to automatically purge them we'd need to purge all symbols from the file and we don't want to do this.

One way to solve this could be to introduce the ability to purge only those symbols within a nominated folder.

Isn't this the same as delete ?

What I mean is you could choose the Purge command and check the Symbols option but then have the additional option to choose the Symbol Folders from which the symbols are purged.

So any symbols used on a Design Layer will stay, as usual, but so will any symbols in any of the folders you didn't nominate (even if they're not used on a design layer).
