I F A
Is there a way to change the default boomerang mode from pan to another tool (i.e. selection tool)? Quote Link to comment
_c_
I don't think so. But why do you wish this? It isn't actually "Pan" only any longer. It allows for breaking and resuming user interaction (more-clicks tools) + you can pan. One of the best features in the latest releases. Set a key for "2D selection" in your workspace editor. I find comfortable using keys YXCV -on a qwertz keyboard- very easy to toggle with the left hand. Y: pan X: 2D selection C: zoom in V: zoom out The boomerang modus won't be affected. Pat Stanford
I don't know of a way to have anything other than Pan selected when you first press space, but there are a few tools you can switch to while in boomerang mode. It appears that you can use the Pan, Selection and Zoom In tools in the boomerang mode. If the Zoom tool is in the interactive mode, then you can use that to zoom both in and out. These are standard workspace shortcuts of z,x and c pressed while still holding the space bar. I was not able to get to teh zoome out tool in boomerang mode. This was tested on VW2008 SP1, on Mac OSX 10.4.10, but I used these on VW12 and VW11 (and probably previous) as well. Pat Quote Link to comment
