Dieter @ DWorks
When I render complex shapes, on some sides, the texture is rotated 90? while it should stay 0?. How can I force this? The shape is a building block made of a volume. Quote Link to comment
jeffroyer
If you haven't tried it yet - look at the render tab on the oip. When you scroll down, you should find ways to adjust the mapping of the texture on your object. You can tweak things here including the direction of the texture. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Often you need to assign & map individual textures to the various compound surfaces. Quote Link to comment

I know that, but there are always sides that doesn't go the wright way. Quote Link to comment

jeffroyer
In similar situations I usually use the extract surface tool and set it just slightly off the original surface. I guess it depends on the complexity of your shape/volume. Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
- Convert to 3D polygons. - Doule Click on the resulting Group to edit it. - Select the polygon you want to apply a texture to and edit to what you require. - Repeat as necessary. - Exit Group Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
thx guys, I'll try that out. to mike: That's a good solution if the model is finished, but what if you want to edit it again? As far as I know, there is no command to put them together again, or I must missing something. Quote Link to comment
