gnkarch
I would like to remove the overhead door lines that are automatically drawn with the overhead door selection. The dashes lines are inappropriate for coiling doors. I seem to recall that in VW versions previous to VW12, there was an option to show these lines or not. What happened ot that option and how can I get rid of these lines w/o ungrouping the object and losing all data info. Quote Link to comment
jfmarch
i remember that too. it might be in the door preferences dialog box... Quote Link to comment
gnkarch
Nope! Door Preferences button brings up the Door Settings dialogue box, and that option is not available under any of the menus. Why I don't know. I guess its just one of the many mysteries of life. Quote Link to comment
ionw
You can fake this by using part line styles, and setting the line-weight of the overhead door to zero. The part line-styles will keep everything you want shown visible, and the overhead lines will disappear. Quote Link to comment
gnkarch
I knew someone would figure out a way. I'll try it, thanks. Quote Link to comment
gnkarch
Ion, I tried your suggestion and it does not have any effect on the way the overhead doors are displayed. I checked use Part Line Styles and set line thickness for all parts to zero, and nothing changes. This is just not for one file, but all files I've started in VW 12. Furthermore, I imported a file started in VW11 which had some overhead doors with 2d Display box for overhead lines left unchecked, and when converted to VW 12 the overhead lines re-appear and I can't get rid of them. Very frustrating as all of the overhead doors are coiling doors not sectional doors. Quote Link to comment
