Ronin X
Does anyone know how to get the rulers to line up with the z axis - all my pads, layers and Z axis's all show the correct z axis, but when viewed from the side the rulers have no bearing on the z axis points of anything. Resetting the origin only makes things worse - Any idea's out there. Ronin Quote Link to comment
propstuff
Ronin, the rulers don't have any relationship at all to 3D behaviour. (that I can see anyway) They are purely for top/plan. Obviously, for perspective and other non-orthogonal views, they couldnt make any sense, but it is unfortunate that the rulers dont work in standard face/side views. N. Quote Link to comment
G_Hannigan
They align for me, unless I go into Stack Layers mode. Quote Link to comment
propstuff
George, perhaps I should rephrase that: They frequently don't line up. I don't know why; they have never really worked for me. I just made a new file and it was OK as you said, but it's been so often wrong that I just gave up on them. (BTW, I almost never use Stack layers) I'm at a loss. N. Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
This was discussed recently in this thread: http://techboard.nemetschek.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=UBB12&Number=75643 Quote Link to comment
G_Hannigan
Nicholas, I should have mentioned that the only time I use the rulers is when questions like this come up and my curiosity is aroused. I've never found a use for them. George Quote Link to comment
