Michael_Eschenbach
If you are in viewport edit, crop or annotation mode when an autosave comes, it will corrupt the save file... if you exit that mode and save again, it will correct itself. Quote Link to comment
MKingsley
Yeah, I think there is still something going on here that is still not right with even the latest version of 12.5.1(65397). My beachball is currently spinning non-stop with a sheet open (not in any edit mode but just finished printing to PDF) and the indication of "Backup complete" still showing in the upper right corner. Time to force quit I guess. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
sometimes i find that if you just move the mouse the beach ball goes away to be replaced with the correct cursor. I always turn on the VectorWorks preference for creating a backup file. It has saved me many times Quote Link to comment
MKingsley
I moved the mouse all over the place, both screens, and nothing for a good ten minutes. In the force quit window it said VW was not responding. Just now, VW crashed completely on me while trying to print to PDF. This time I was in the Edit Annotation mode which is probably not a good thing to do.. I'll still keep the autosave feature on though, it has saved my butt as well. Quote Link to comment
