ericbuilds
I select fill, none, and then when the dimension is created the attributes palette changes to a fill - a light grey color that I use alot. Is there a pull down menu for setting up these kind of attributes for dimensioning? Quote Link to comment
jan15
You have to set Fill to None when no objects are selected. Quote Link to comment
cbaarch
you also need to check if the class for Dimension it set to "Use at creation" if it is you need to either turn it OFF or set the attributes the way you want them Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
an easy trick that I use is to turn on the VectorWorks preference: No fill behind text. This stops text and dimensions from getting the fill on them Quote Link to comment
ericbuilds
Thanks, that was helpful. I did change the vectorworks preference, and I did set dimension class attributes, in the classes dialog box. Quote Link to comment
Ian M.
I just started using Vectorworks 2024 and when I choose "Box Text" on my dimensions, the box is filled with a light blue fill even though the attributes palette is set to "None", and the class that the dimensions are assigned to is also set to "Fill Style: None" in the "Graphic Attributes" pane. Has Vectorworks added some new dimension feature? Dimensions 2.pdf Quote Link to comment
