PANTONE COLOURS

Recommended Posts

It would be really handy to be able to use Pantone colours.

When I attempt to use a custom colour using CMYK, the new custom colour selected does not keep the custome colour values. For example: choose c=92 m=29 y=9 k=2 save this. Now revisit this edit & you find c=84 m=29 y=6 k=5.

Is this the way things should work?

sounds like one of those frustrating VW bugs. I think the colour- hatch- and so on customization in vw is not satisfying.

But do you know the pantone colour chart that you can get at http://www.vectordepot.com/misc/ ? it looks at least nicer than the default colour chart.

As far as I know the colour chart is part of the document. wonder how the colours behave when copy-pasting from one file to another with a different colour chart. anybody any experiences?

Badly. They are interpreted to the current palette, with a "lookup table" which in the past was called CLUT in the program resources. Sounds about right to me...
