jaz1416
I am building a set that has a racked stage on it, but I am having trouble extruding it in a ramp/raked fashion. So far I can only extrude to a flat object or a tapered object Quote Link to comment
G_Hannigan
Draw your bottom & top surfaces as NURBS. Position the top surface at its vert location, rotate as required. Then use the Loft Surface Tool to create a solid. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Or make a section profile and extrude it...sweep it or path it. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
or create the extrusion and cut off the bit you want... there are many 3D tricks in my 3d modelling manual.... https://plus36.safe-order.net/archoncad/manuals/manuals.php Quote Link to comment
matto
Have you had a look at roof planes? Draw the plan shape you want. Then define it as a roof face, assigning angle then. You can even go back and change the plan shape at any stage. [edit]: Roof Face not Roof Plane. Edited March 12, 2007 by iboymatt Quote Link to comment
Petri
A fair compromise? The bottom of a roof face just won't be horizontal. Can we call it "artistic flair"? Quote Link to comment
